NICF- Certification in Outsourcing Management for IT (COMIT) Preparatory Course

Course Overview

Outsourcing is one of the most prevalent trends in today's business environment. Statistics show that almost 80% of companies expect to increase their investment in outsourcing. With increasing reliance on outsourcing to meet business needs, there is a high demand for certified IT outsourcing professionals with the relevant skills to successfully manage outsourced projects. Such skills are vital to ensure that outsourcing helps organisations to realise its business objectives and competitive edge.

The Certification in Outsourcing Management for IT (COMIT), managed by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and supported by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), aims to equip IT outsourcing professionals with critical management skills to implement successful outsourcing initiatives and accord industry recognition for their competency.

SCS has appointed the Institute of Systems Science of the National University of Singapore, to administer the qualifying examination and provide preparatory courses for IT professionals seeking certification in IT outsourcing. The courses that ISS offers will equip IT outsourcing professionals with sufficient knowledge and skills to manage outsourced projects effectively and prepare them for certification.

You will earn 45 Professional Development Units (PDUs) as well as 5 Continuing Professional Certification (CPC) credits upon successful completion of this course. The PDUs can be used as part of the project management training hours required for PMP® eligibility. Note that for the purpose of PDU reporting by those with PMP® credentials, the PMI REP Provider Number of ISS is “2339”.

This course is part of the IT Project Management Series offered by NUS-ISS.
