Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis 2009 Industrial Attachment Programme

Project Proposal Form

You are invited to participate in our Industrial Attachment (IA) programme now!

Part of the Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis curriculum is a 18-week IA programme starting from Wednesday, 17 February 2010 to Friday, 18 June 2010.

This batch of students comprises of both PCP (Professional Conversion Programme) and non-PCP students. PCP students are currently undergoing a WDA conversion programme. They come from a variety of industries, with many years of working experience in that industry. PCP students are either Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents. Non-PCP students are mostly young foreign students who may have some IT background before studying this program.

Our students can help you complete projects which you seem never to have sufficient resources to start and at the same time they will gain invaluable working experience from you. At the end of the attachment you may find some of them prospective employees.

We would like to invite you to participate in the IA programme by engaging our students to work on Information Systems related project(s) in your organisation. You are welcome to propose more than one project. Each project should have at least two students. Project with wider scopes that could accommodate three or more students is preferred. We would be pleased to discuss the scope of the project(s) that you may propose. The project(s) should preferably cover the full development life cycle. The students will be required to present their IA projects to ISS staff for assessment and to an Accenture Partner if the team is shortlisted to vie for the Accenture Prize.

Organisation Commitment

Your organisation has to provide all the resources required for the students to undertake the project and to assign one of your IT personnel to supervise them. At the end of the project, the organisation supervisor will be asked to complete an IA organisation appraisal form as part of our evaluation mechanisms.

PCP students - WDA provides a monthly stipend of $1000/month, however, it is recommended that the company provide the student with a small allowance during their internship.

Non-PCP students - The recommended allowance for each student is $500-$600 per month (CPF exempted).
