Teaching Assistant, Digital & Innovation Design Practice

The NUS-ISS Digital Innovation & Design Practice is a practitioner-lead group blending innovators, strategists, designers, and technologists.

Our aim is to grow a world-class digital innovation and design education team within Singapore. Typical areas we cover are - digital innovation, service design, design thinking, user experience, digital marketing, social media, web analytics and technopreneurship.

The Digital Innovation & Design Practice is growing, and we are looking for dynamic and motivated individual to support the team in the execution of new courses, projects and programmes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conducting research, writing reports and case studies.
  • Supporting respective lecturers in education resources and course materials preparation.
  • Supporting lecturers in facilitating class discussion, engagement and providing a good learning experience
  • Managing execution of courses and projects such as driving awareness, resourcing, scheduling and processes.
  • Liaising with course administrators, QA and other administrative teams in the execution of courses or projects.
  • Supporting lecturers in consultancy project execution.
  • Communicating and engaging with students and external parties.


Educated to graduate degree level, from a recognised institution in a relevant specialism. Candidates who can demonstrate relevant professional experience in lieu of qualifications will also be considered.

Professional Experience

  • We are looking for a candidate with 2-3 years of demonstrable experience in research, reporting writing, project operations support, programme management and/or course facilitation.
  • The candidate should have strong passion, interest or experience in the digital domains such as design thinking, innovation & technology, user experience and digital marketing.

Background Skills
The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively across the Digital Innovation and Design Practice portfolio. As such, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project and programme management
  • Time management and coordination of multiple parallel courses and projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills
