Mrs Lynn Lim graduated with a first class honours degree in mathematics from Oxford University in 1994, a postgraduate diploma in education from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore in 1995, and a master degree in business administration from INSEAD in 2007. She completed the Advanced Management Programme in Harvard Business School in May 2016.
Lynn was on a Singapore Government Scholarship and worked in the Ministry of Education, Ministry of the Environment and Ministry of Manpower previously.
Lynn has a deep passion and interest in promoting workforce development. She was a key member of the pioneering team responsible for setting up the Singapore Workforce Development Agency, a statutory board under the Ministry of Manpower. She worked closely with stakeholders in the creative, information and communications technology, financial services and community and social services sectors to design manpower development programmes. She worked with institutes of higher learning to develop adult training courses and implemented incentive policies and schemes to facilitate training. She also played a key role in planning and implementing national initiatives under the SkillsFuture movement aimed at helping every Singaporean to realise their career potential at the workplace. She enjoys forging inter-agency partnerships to promote joint solutioning of workforce challenges. Currently serving as Group Director (Careers Connect Group) in the Workforce Development Agency, Lynn oversees the development and implementation of policies and programmes to facilitate employment for jobseekers.
