In 2016, 12 brand-new courses were launched by the institute to meet industry demand. These included Designing Mobility Solutions, Web Analytics, Change Management, Lean Kanban and Cloud Computing Application Architecture. All of these courses fall under 11 main disciplines.
Launched by Minister Ong Ye Kung on 30 September 2016, our Professional Conversion Programmes (PCP) are the latest exciting addition to the EEP programmes.
The PCP concept was carefully developed with PMEs in mind. The primary purpose is to allow PMEs who are seeking a career change to upskill and convert their current skill set and be placed with an employer in a new industry.
Both of the first two programmes – the PCP for Data Analysts and the PCP for Full Stack Software Developers – include a combination of classroom training and practical work attachments. This offers individuals the chance to apply what they have learnt in a professional industry environment.
As businesses in Singapore continue to evolve and develop in the digital landscape, it is increasingly important that employees understand how key insights can be discovered through data analysis and exploration.
This course starts right at the very beginning for professionals new to the field of data analytics, providing practical skills and essential knowledge across five subject areas.
NUS-ISS has played an important role in enabling our workforce to upskill and embrace Big Data analytics, and transforming them to become data champions and catalyst for their work centres.

Hundreds of new apps are launched every single day. Businesses need to rely on experienced coders to design, develop, test and refine these apps to offer their customers a seamless user experience.
This course teaches the basic coding skills required for individuals to create an app from scratch using the full stack approach, focusing on four key modules.
PCP brings industry partners and industry projects together, allowing us to work on real industry problems. The Full Stack Developer course covers everything from client-side all the way to server side and databases. The hands-on coaching provided by NUS-ISS helps us to solve practical issues when we apply our lessons in a real situation. I believe few courses outside NUS-ISS will give you this end-to-end picture.
