Annual Report 2020 Centres of Excellence

Annual Report 2020 Centres of Excellence

As hubs of ideation and implementation, our Centres of Excellence in Smart Health and e-Government Leadership continues to engage organisations locally and abroad for capability development and innovative collaboration opportunities. Through programmes tailored for organisation’s needs, we coach and mentor organisations to embrace new skills and develop strategic and forward-thinking mindsets to deliver citizen-centric services through technology.

Smart Health Leadership Centre

The healthcare ecosystem experienced a ton of pressure with the Covid-19 pandemic in the past year adding onto issues such as an ageing population, chronic illnesses and resourcing challenges. Rising above these demands, NUS-ISS’ Smart Health Leadership Centre continues to engage partners with bespoke cross-industry collaboration and co-creation, equipping industry partners with capabilities and competencies to digitally transform, while delivering speaking engagements and research projects to build a smarter health future.

"NUS-ISS was a delight to work with as they are aligned with NCSS in having a genuine interest in building the innovation capabilities of the Social Service Sector. During the implementation of the design challenges, the team was agile in adapting their curriculum and workshop structure to the needs of participants from various backgrounds. They also helped to contextualise some of the innovation tools and frameworks that were published in the Social Innovation Starter Kit for the Social Service Sector, with a co-creation and testing approach in its development. It has been a smooth and wonderful partnership between NCSS and NUS-ISS and we look forward to working with them again in the near future."

Ms Marceline Chin, Assistant Director, Pumpkin Lab, NCSS
