A Business Analyst elicits software requirements from stakeholders. Usually, the requirements come in the form of a problem, and Business Analyst is tasked to provide the solution by working as a liaison among the experts. As such, problem solving skill is a critical competency of a Business Analyst.

Dr. Matt Fourie CEO & Author, Thinking Dimensions Global

Dr. Matt Fourie co‐founded Thinking Dimensions with Chuck Kepnerin 1997. Together they developed the KEPNERandFOURIE™ thinking methodology. This breakthrough innovation in critical thinking is based on the concept of Convergent and Divergent thinking patterns, recognises the importance of intuition in the thinking process and has different modes of application driven by different client needs.

Matt's primary focus is on product design and managing the international network across 20 countries. This is supported by solution design, facilitation and capability development in the areas of process improvement, ITIL Continual Service Improvement Management, Lean‐Sigma and general problem solving practices.

He holds a B.Mil (B.Sc) from The University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, a B.Comm (Honors) from the University of South Africa and his PhD from LCU London, UK. He is a former Air Force Pilot (Cpt) where he was an Officer Instructor in Management Studies and Project Management. He brings over 29 years of global and Fortune 1000 experience. He has worked in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Russia, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Italy, Brazil, United States and Canada.
