NICF- Online Community Management for Social Media

Overview

Are you struggling to make social media work for your organisation? Do you fret over what content to put up next? Are your fans not responding? Does your boss accuse you of not having any online strategy?

The Online Community Management for Social Media course is designed to provide a complete framework to aid in the effective management and development of a successful online community. The course will focus primarily on Facebook Pages, but can also apply to other online community channels. You’ll learn about growing community, developing rich content, generating engagement and articulating long-term social media strategy, all in the context of Singapore's internet culture. The course takes a pragmatic approach by addressing common issues like handling management expectations, working with limited resources, figuring out what content to post and how to best handle an online crisis, citing a host of Singapore-based examples.

You will also learn the principles of a successful community, useful for carrying into unexpected and unique situations in online engagement as a guiding light, as well as case studies and exercises to hone your skills and inspire you to turn crisis into opportunities.

This course is part of the Digital Innovation & Design Series offered by NUS-ISS.
