Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme

Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme provides increased training subsidies for Singaporeans aged 35 and above (13 years and above for Persons With Disabilities) and earning not more than $2,000 per month. Eligible Singaporeans who register for Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses may enjoy subsidies up to 95% of the course fees.

Who is eligible?

  • Singaporeans aged 35 years and above (13 years and above for Persons With Disabilities), earning a monthly income of not more than $2,000.
The trainees must be committed to complete the training with at least 75% attendance and pass the required assessment(s).

How much is the funding?

  • Subsidies up to 95% of course fees for SSG supported courses.

Supporting Documents

Please present any one of the following valid income document as proof of your monthly income salary upon course registration:

  • WTS Notification Letter
  • Workfare Income Support (WIS) Scheme Notification letter – issued by CPF Board
  • Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) Tax Notification letter
  • SingPost receipt for CPF income declaration (for tax-exempted sole-proprietors/self-employed only)
  • Any one of your last 3 months’ payslips/CPF statement showing employer's contribution
  • Employment letter/contract of service dated not more than 3 months before course start date

 

Training Commitment Award

The Training Commitment Award (TCA) is a cash incentive which serves to motivate and reward individuals for undergoing sustained training. Individuals who meet the qualifying criteria can enjoy a cash award of $200, up to a maximum of $400 per year. 

The TCA payment details will be included in the Workfare letter (together with information on the Workfare Income Supplement (WIS), if any).
