Our practice oriented graduate programmes create leaders and technology innovators looking to carve out a successful career in the Tech industry.
Students learn from experienced lecturers with strong industry background and a record of applying their experience to solve real world problems. A hallmark of our programmes are the key internship and capstone project modules, which allow our students to learn as they deliver real outcomes in organisations in Singapore and overseas.
We offer multiple graduate degrees strongly aligned to building the smart nation. Our Master of Technology (MTech) in Knowledge Engineering develops students who build strategic data-driven intelligent systems; the MTech Enterprise Business Analytics students use data and models to ensure better business decisions; MTech Software Engineering provides the platforms and processes for robust and secure systems – it’s the software that makes systems smart! – and the MTech IT Leadership creates the future digital leaders to make the smart nation a reality. We also have the Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis, a conversion course to invite non-IT graduates into a career in digital technology.
Recently, we launched a new ‘stackable’ degree system for the Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis (GDipSA), providing working adults with an alternative pathway to enter the IT world. This is the first of our stackable offerings.

Digital innovation is the future but it is software which provides the key to unlock the innovation. Software enables the Smart Nation, and the MTech Software Engineering degree ensures that software development is enhanced with best practice, accurate estimation, proper management and appropriate frameworks to ensure agile and timely delivery of software systems.
From exciting start-ups to established multinational corporations to cutting-edge government organisations, we are proud to have built strong partnerships with numerous Singaporean businesses working at the forefront of emerging technology trends. All NUS-ISS students put their learning into practice by working closely with these businesses through internships or capstone projects.
Practice-based learning is an integral part of the NUS-ISS curriculum; students build their competencies by applying what they have learnt in the classroom to solving real-world challenges in the workplace. By collaborating on the latest industry projects, NUS-ISS students directly contribute to the development of Singapore as a Smart Nation and experience firsthand the capabilities of today’s cutting-edge technologies.

The launch of stackable degree programmes represent NUS-ISS’ commitment to the philosophy of lifelong learning.
The stackable approach ensures that our degree programmes are accessible for individuals from all backgrounds, while enabling PMEs to balance learning with working so they can acquire new skills and move into new careers while maintaining their current jobs and income.
The first stackable graduate degree is our Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis, launched in 2016. As each stage of the four-part programme is completed, students receive a stand-alone certificate that recognises a particular set of skills, which immediately prepares them to take on matching digital solutions development job roles. At their own pace and option, students can continue in the programme to continue to level up their skills. If they decide to complete the entire programme, which can take up to five years, the individual will be awarded the Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis.
