Time flies. Looking back at 2021, it was a year when the whole world was wishing the pandemic would go away. Even in these trying times with many twists and turns day by day – we had stayed resourceful and resilient, forging ahead to pivot to new strategies and reach new milestones such as the official launch of our The Digital Academy partnership with GovTech and the official opening of our new NUS-ISS building.
Marking our signature investment for the next generation, we synergised with industry partners across various key sectors in technology, healthcare, finance, logistics, and transport at our new building. Namely, AMTD Digital, Bank of Singapore, Certis Group, GovTech, Institute of Banking & Finance, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, NCS, NTT DATA Singapore, ST Engineering Digital Systems, The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, and Visa, as we pledge our continued efforts to build a digital talent pipeline for Singapore, well into the next 40 years.
We trained 8,054 professionals in executive education from more than 345 companies and government agencies and issued a total of 4,048 graduate certificates through our stackable programmes. We held onsite graduation ceremonies at our new Inspire Theatre and rejoiced with our 403 Master of Technology and Graduate Diploma graduates.
The story of NUS-ISS has always been about innovation, connecting people and bridging opportunities. Settling into our new building, energized by the tranquil nature that surrounds us, is just another new beginning .. we have set our sights to continue blazing new trails with our blended learning programmes, corporate digital transformation acceleration initiatives, 40th anniversary celebrations, and more, in pursuit of the next curve of digital excellence.
