Our Programmes
Connecting knowledge with real-world applications can make the learning a whole lot more meaningful. NUS-ISS believes there is a huge, untapped potential for effective learning to take place at workplaces. Our unconventional learning pathways address challenges of traditional continuing education, ensuring that no talent is left behind. By creating a more realistic and agile learning environment, we encourage professionals to take greater ownership of their own learning journey.
Stackable Programmes
The Stackable Programmes are an alternative pathway for continuing education. They consist of a series of graduate certificates that stack up towards a graduate diploma or a master’s degree.
The structure of our Stackable Programmes allows learners the flexibility of studying at their own pace. They can take on modular courses that which make up the graduate certificate that meet their career needs.
For PMEs who do not wish to attain a certificate, graduate diploma or master, they can continue to attend individual modular courses to equip themselves with the skills they need.

This course would revisit the methods and journey in designing something that would serve the greater customer pool.”
Professional Conversion Programmes
Launched in October 2016, the Professional Conversion Programmes (PCP) help mid-career professionals undergo skills conversion and secure new job roles. They also aid employers in recruiting new employees and in retraining existing ones to take on new roles. NUS-ISS is currently offering PCPs for Data Analysts and Full Stack Software Developers programmes.

Temasek Polytechnic
Digital Transformation For Temasek Polytechnic
The objective is to develop a Digital Transformation strategy and roadmap for Temasek Polytechnic. The project analysed relevant trends (e.g. aging population, growing need for continuous re-skilling of workforce) and developed a vision of “No Learners Left Behind”. This vision creates a strategic focus on seeking a wider audience beyond pre-employment training to encourage a higher percentage of Learners to have continuous lifelong learning to attain and improve work competency and maximise economic impact for themselves and the country. A digital strategy and roadmap was then developed accordingly to attract wider audience to continuous learning, maximise learning effectiveness and maximise post-learning economic impact.
Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs
Exploit digital technologies to improve MHA NSmen fitness regime and outcomes
Home Team NSmen have to maintain and upkeep their fitness level so as to perform their NS duties effectively amidst their work and family commitment. With the popularisation of wearable smart devices and mobile technologies, MHA is exploiting ways to empower their NSmen to conduct self-paced remedial fitness program that will make it more convenient for them to self-train at pre-designated fitness facilities near to their work or home. The program will proctor at intermediate points (e.g. on the 6th, 11th and 15th sessions) to calibrate and adjust the fitness program according to NSmen fitness performance. Pilot trial has started with some selected units and a taskforce among different stakeholders has been formed to co-create the final solution using design thinking and agile development techniques. If it is implemented fully, we believe it will create a positive experience for MHA NSmen to maintain their fitness regime in the new digital era.
Juniors Meet Seniors
Our informal get-together sessions are a great opportunity for students of different batches to mingle and interact through fun and games. The sharing sessions help the freshmen to learn more about life at NUS-ISS and know that they will always have the support of this family in times of need.

Orientation
The most important part about learning is to have fun, and we want to get that right from the start. We organise orientation sessions for each new MTech and GDipSA intake to welcome them to the NUS-ISS family. The participants get to network and bond with fellow course mates and teaching staff through team-building and ice-breaking games.
