ISS Seminar: Social Media (Re)Connections

Business is about relationships and connections. Today, as social media gains maturity and the potential of the social or connected business is bigger than ever, the complexity of business relationships is matched, heightened and/or assisted by the power of computerised social business. Be confused or be enlightened - businesses need to refine their relationship with consumers online, make friends with rich content and ensure social media is working for them. It's time to (re)connect them all.

Seminar Agenda

09:00am Agent of Connections: The Online Community Manager

Mr. Chia Han-Leon Lecturer, Enterprise Social Business, ISS

In Singapore, not much has been said about “online community management”. Yet, a typical social media manager often takes on the role without knowing it. Engaging your customers online is not merely an act of marketing and a complete social media eco-system is more than just about a company’s fans and followers.

09:30am Social Media: Driving Business Goals

Mr. Cedric Dias Digital Director, Havas Media Singapore

Businesses have increased the pace of adopting social media strategies, but still don’t have it together when it comes to aligning social media with their business strategies. As such, many executives are forced to re-think their overall approach and the infrastructure they built to support it. This session will delve some light into how to approach and plan for social media, so that it becomes an effective tool in the overall organisation plan

10:00am Refreshments
10:30am Decoding Facebook Campaigns: What drives successful contest results

Mr. Eugene Sim Director of Business Development, Conversion Hub Marketing

You’re going ahead with a Facebook campaign as part of your social media marketing strategy. Many companies have done one and the results are as varied as they are unpredictable. What are the key drivers behind successful Facebook engagement campaigns such as contests, ads and offers?

11:00am Breaking the Content Clutter: Topics brands can communicate online to resonate with the online connected audience

Mr. Fairil Yeo Business Director, VML Qais

In this day and age where digital is considered to be hygiene, and social media is no longer 'new media', what can brands do online to differentiate themselves when it comes to content? After all, brands never have enough budgets to keep pushing large scale campaigns and cool activation ideas, and at the end of the day – content is (still) king.
