Driving change in health and social care services

Overview

Amidst growing demands from factors such as a rapidly ageing population, an increasing incidence of complex chronic conditions, a limited manpower pool, and a rapidly evolving technology landscape, the health and social care sector strives to transform. New skills are required across the health and social sector workforce to enable an industry-scale transformation to be realised.

The Professional Diploma in Health Service Transformation and the Professional Certificate in Health Service Innovation, offered by the Digital  Health Leadership Centre at the NUS-ISS, incorporates experiential training to build key skills for health and social sector transformation.

The programmes are designed for staff across the entire care continuum, to enable them to understand the role that data, technology, and design play in organisational or care model transformation. The programme is designed to encourage participants to recognise their role and influence in health and social care transformation, regardless of their position or seniority in the organisation’s hierarchy.

The programmes are offered as a series of stackable short training courses, making it easier to accommodate capability development alongside demanding workloads. The training courses range from 2 to 3 days each in duration and can be taken as separate modules, as and when convenient. Upon completion of the essential training courses, participants will complete a practice module for Professional Certificate in Health Service Innovation or a capstone research project for Professional Diploma in Health Service Transformation respectively, designed to enable them to apply the skills learned in practice.
