9:35am Successful infrastructure project delivery through design thinking

Ms. Tamsin Greulich-Smith Member, IT Strategy and Management, Institute of Systems Science, NUS

Drawing on extensive real world infrastructure project experience, this talk will illustrate how design thinking and complex stakeholder management aid successful project delivery.

With an emphasis on large urban and transport infrastructure projects, the speaker will share insights into the design thinking approach applied to high profile schemes.

From user perspectives to co-creating solutions, the session aims to demonstrate that projects of any scale can benefit from the application of design thinking, and that commonly accepted problems such as complaints and traffic management, deemed inherent to large scale infrastructure schemes, can in fact be successfully overcome, resulting in success metrics being surpassed and project reputation enhanced.
