The Data Science Advisory Panel serves as a strategic partner to the Data Science Practice at NUS-ISS. Its purpose is to provide industry insights, strengthen curriculum relevance, support applied learning opportunities, and enhance collaboration between NUS-ISS and leading organisations in Data, AI, and digital transformation.

Ms. Clara Lee
Chairperson

Clara Lee stands as an experienced technology leader with an impressive track record spanning over three decades. Throughout her career, she has held pivotal roles including Vice President for Supply Chain, Asia, and Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) across diverse sectors such as chemicals, building materials, development banking, and real estate. She is a three-time award recipient at the World CIO Summit.

Currently, Clara serves as Chief of Data Science & Digital Sustainability Practices at NUS-ISS, where she is pioneering new curricula to embed green principles into digital transformation. She remains a driving force behind enterprise digital innovation, with expertise in harnessing data to drive operational excellence, foster a data-fluent culture, and unlock new revenue streams. Her mission is to elevate data maturity within organisations while cultivating data-savvy professionals at every level.

Dr. Brian Ang
Secretary

Before joining NUS-ISS, Dr Brian Ang was an Assistant Director with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). In IMDA, he led a team of scientists, engineers and project managers in the area of artificial intelligence and data analytics for projects across various domains. Before joining IMDA, he was a Senior Member of Technical Staff with the Cognition and Fusion Lab of DSO National Laboratories, and a Principal Investigator for projects relating to computational cognitive models.
Brian has published several scientific papers in the area of artificial intelligence and data analytics in journals and conferences.

Mr. Gabriel Tse
Advisor

Gabriel Tse is the Managing Director of Data and Digital, leading key digitalisation programmes to accelerate Keppel's Vision 2030 digital ambitions. Previously, Gabriel was the Director of Digital and Growth at General Electric ASEAN, partnering with customers to deliver digital technological, and commercial benefits across multiple sectors. His international experience includes leading teams to deliver innovations across various industries and functions, such as oil and gas, energy, and defense, covering commercial, manufacturing, and R&D areas.

Gabriel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Fiona Pan
Advisor

Dr. Fiona Pan holds both the Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore. An expert in AI and cognitive systems, she specialises in brain-computer interfaces and has over 15 years of experience in AI systems design and product development. She previously held leadership roles at Tokopedia, Shopee, and Grab. Her work focuses on generative AI, cognitive modelling, and privacy-preserving computing.

Recognised among Singapore's “Top 100 Women in Tech”, she is currently the Chief EdTech Officer at Bamboo School and founder of Learnscape Pte. Ltd. and Learnyourway Pte. Ltd.

Mr. Lee Tze-Houng
Advisor

Lee Tze-Houng is a Quantitative Portfolio Manager at a Singapore bank, where he has spent the past nine years leading portfolio management and machine learning initiatives. Prior to this, he worked as a Market Risk Manager. Academically, he serves as an Adjunct Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore and is a reviewer for journals in economics and finance.

An active contributor to IEEE conferences, he received Best Paper Awards for work on Kolmogorov-Arnold Network Representation in 2025 and Physics-Informed Neural Networks in 2026. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Adelaide and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Ram Thilak
Advisor

Ram Thilak is a Data, AI & Automation leader at Suntory Beverage & Food, where he leads a global function spanning Data Engineering, AI Centre of Excellence, and Data Products. His focus is on weaving AI into the decision fabric of organisations, moving from insight to impact. He has built and scaled AI practices across FMCG, automotive, and manufacturing, including growing a data science team from zero to 50+ at Inchcape and establishing the first data science practice for Mercedes-Benz in the region.

An INSEAD and NUS-ISS alumnus, he has been recognised as part of the INSEAD AI 50 and as a recipient of the Vision Award at CDO Vision Singapore 2026.
