Digital was the new frontier. A traditional bank, entrenched in decades-old technologies and business models, was facing the perfect storm from nimble FinTechs, demanding millennials, and unrelenting regulations. However, the bank was prepared – it quickly adapted and won the accolade of the World’s Best Digital Bank.
In this talk, Saket, Enterprise Architect at DBS Bank, will share the role that Architecture played in ensuring the bank’s preparedness for the new digital era, in its ability to respond quickly to a changing landscape, and delivering innovative solutions that put it ahead of the pack.
The journey so far has been in two parts. The first part was about bringing Architecture to the Enterprise – demonstrating real, achievable values through small but significant steps toward laying the right foundation for architecture to thrive. This was followed by the second part about bringing the Enterprise to Architecture – scaling and proliferating the success from the first part to make it more pervasive and impactful. Saket will share his personal experience and lessons learnt through the journey and also provide food for thought on making it better.
