CISSP Preview Session

(ISC)2 Singapore Chapter and NUS-ISS are organising a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Preview Session for all IT Professionals who are interested in taking the CISSP exam and becoming certified. This session will discuss the CISSP exam coverage, preparation, and certification process. You will have the opportunity to network with like-minded IT and Cyber security professionals in Singapore who are current (ISC)2 Singapore Chapter members. You will also have the chance to ask our panel of CISSP’s, questions about their experience getting certified.

Mr. Hoo Chuan-Wei Executive Security Advisor - IBM Security APAC

Mr. Hoo Chuan-Wei has 23 years of IT experience, assuming various IT management roles in the financial and telecommunication sector regionally and also serves as an adjunct lecturer with NTU, NUS-ISS and Temasek Polytechnic, and a guest lecturer with the Business Continuity Management Institute. Prior to joining IBM, he served as the Security Information Officer / Director - Information Security Advisory Services (AMEA), with BT Security, BT Singapore.

In his free time, he partakes in standards work with the Singapore ITSC Security & Privacy Technical Committee (SPSTC); responsible for reviewing network and application security standards. He also serves as a Technical Advisor for (ISC)2 – APAC.

Mr. Joachim Nathan has 23 years of IT experience in the Financial and Logistics industry. He has managed a range of initiatives involving business process re-engineering, compliance, business continuity planning and management, infrastructure design changes, platform migrations, cost reductions on technologies and telecommunication, managing service improvements on real-time feeds while maintaining SLA for customers in the APAC region.

Mr. Joseph Koh (CISSP) Communication Director, (ISC)2 Singapore Chapter

Mr. Joseph Koh has 20 years of IT experience across broad range of roles including business development, project management, account and sales management. He has worked for leading info-communication companies such as Singtel, ST Electronics and Telstra. In his early years, he was product engineer at Hewlett Packard PC Division and project team lead at MHA (Police Dept) where he successfully led large-scale projects to completion. He is well versed with the local public sector having been involved in G-Cloud, Standard Operating Environment and Government Digital Services. As a CISSP, he sees significant values in weaving in security track in today’s conversation addressing a rapidly changing IT landscape.
