NUS-ISS StackUp Workshop: Introduction to Reinforcement Learning

Reinforcement learning (RL) is an area of machine learning that is concerned with how software agents take actions in an environment so as to maximize its reward eg chances of winning if the environment is a game.

Perhaps one of the most famous RL agent in recent time is AlphaGo. In this workshop, you will learn RL basics including Bellman equation and Monte Carlo (MC) method.

We will also cover the episodic and continuous scenarios. To make the workshop pratical, we will look at how we use RL to train an agent to play Blackjack.

Admission is Free, on a first-come-first-served basis.

If you have been thinking about transitioning to a tech-related career, let us help you get started.
