As you migrate more of your workload to containers, you soon discover that managing them becomes a chore.
Kubernetes is a platform for managing containerized workloads. It is an extremely popular container orchestration platform. Used correctly, Kubernetes can provide a layer of abstraction on top top of specific cloud provider making your cloud infrastructure vendor neutral.
In this demo oriented session, we will see how to manage a few microservice. Some of the topics that the session will be covering includes
- creating pods and deployments
- exposing your deploments as services
- allocating volumes and and making volume claims
- scaling your application horizontally
- performing upgrades
Note: This session will not cover Docker and assumes that you have some familiarity with it.
