Digital transformation is the journey of leveraging digital assets and capabilities to fundamentally rethink and radically redesign an existing business to become a digital business. In the Industry 4.0 era, digital transformation is happening not only at the enterprise level, but also at the industry level, whereby entire industry sectors and ecosystems have been disrupted by the transformation. Business agility is imperative in digital transformation journey for organisations to respond swiftly to the changing customer demands and innovate continuously to sustain their competitive advantage in the industries.
Since the past Industrial age, traditional and brick-and-mortar organisations were designed to drive efficiency in predictable and stable environment. They can no longer cope and response effectively with the dynamic and volatile digital environment that we are living today. To succeed in Digital era, business leaders must embrace different mind-sets to organise and lead their people, along with using new approaches to engage employees to adapt new ways of decision-making and build adaptive working environment across all departments.
In this seminar, expert speakers will share how business leaders can lead the organisational redesign and transformation of their organisation through focusing on the agile mind-set of their human-capital to meet the evolving expectation of their end-customers and changing digital business landscape today.

Why Business Agility matters in Digital Transformation (and vice versa)
Many companies have voiced the intention of carrying out Digital Transformation but continue to run their businesses in the same old ways, except to add Digital channels to it. In this VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world, this will be insufficient to cater to the rapid changes in the market and business environment, and the company will hence run the risk of being overtaken by disruptors.
This talk will illustrate what is VUCA and Digital Transformation, and why VUCA leads to the strong need for Business Agility as a pre-requisite for Digital Transformation. It will also explains the need for business departments (in addition to IT) to not only be heavily involved in, but also drive the Business Agility and Digital Transformation initiatives. Finally, the presentation will explain why Digital Transformation can, in turn, help Business Agility.
