COVID-19 pandemic altered the way we worked and socialised. The importance of cloud security elevated over this delicate time as most employees are working from home accessing the data stored centrally in the cloud. The usage of cloud provides enterprises with a resilient solution but also brings cloud security into the limelight with the risk and threat associated with it.

This webinar provides an update of the current cybersecurity landscape, and explore the emerging cybersecurity challenges for cloud security that evolve into a new norm under the current situation.

Today, with the rapid evolution of cloud deployment and security control, we see all government and commercial entities having some form of cloud deployment in their organisations. In this talk, we will explore the new norm and the latest development in cloud security, risk and deployment models.

Max has more than 15 years of leadership experience in cybersecurity, technology risk management, data protection, compliance, IT governance and technological audit. He served customers across the Asia Pacific and Japan region empowered them with pragmatic and innovative resolution addressing security risk identified. Max is the recipient of National Cybersecurity Postgraduate Scholarship and a few outstanding candidates nominated and attended International Education & Research Industry Program (ZERIP) chaired by Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. Most recently, he held client consulting and assurance leadership role with EY, primarily responsible for delivering a secured posture evaluating the information systems and infrastructure deployed by his clients. Those information systems include cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Blockchain.

Leong Kai Seng is currently working as the Director (Security Implementation & Management Services) in Integrated Health Information Systems Pte Ltd (IHIS) and responsible for driving cybersecurity technology implementation and operation for the public healthcare.   He is also involved in the development of appropriate cybersecurity strategies and action plans for public healthcare.

A leader with more than 20 years of experience in stakeholder management, strategic planning, driving large ICT projects from conceptualisation till implementation (in areas of cyber security, infrastructure, end-user computing) and operation management.  Prior to joining IHIS, he hold management positions in organizations such Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and Central Provident Fund Board (CFPB).

Dr. Kang Meng Chow

(ISC)2 APAC Advisory Council Member and Head of Security Assurance, Asia Pacific of AWS

Meng-Chow is the author of “Responsive Security – Be ready to be secure” (CRC Press in Oct 2013), and a practicing information security professional with more than 30 years of field experience in a number of technical, operation, and management roles, including the Singapore government, major multi-national financial institutions, and global security and technology providers. He currently leads a regional security assurance team in Amazon Web Services working with customers, regulators, and industry communities to identify and address related concerns and needs in cloud computing security. Meng-Chow is also an Associate Professor (Adjunct) with the School of Computer Science & Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and co-Chair for the Multitier Cloud Security Standards (SS 584:2015) Working Group under the Singapore IT Standards Committee.

Meng-Chow was a Director of the (ISC)2 Board from Jan 2015 to Dec 2017, and a current member of the (ISC)2 Asia Pacific Advisory Council. Meng-Chow is also an appointed member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)’s Cyber Security Advisory Panel, and the Ministry of Health (MOH) Cyber Security Advisory Panel.
