Drawing upon the speaker’s experiences from around the world, Edward will illustrate the opportunities and challenges associated with digitalising healthcare in different settings. Initially, Edward will exemplify case studies from the mature UK National Health Service (NHS), followed by an overview of new approaches for public-private partnership, digital-centric health models in Asian emerging markets. In order to deliver universal, affordable and sustainable primary care a radically new approach is needed.
Edward will demonstrate how Allied World Healthcare is accessing marginalised, hard-to-reach and rural patient groups using collaborative new models, highlighting what we might learn from this approach in Singapore. Despite the differences faced by emerging and mature health systems, there are significant commonalities that can support digital transformation regardless of market and service conditions, and there is a pioneering new role for every stakeholder in the healthcare ecosystem to play.
The presentation will finish by touching upon the potential benefits to be enjoyed once new models are implemented, as well as the critical components for success.
