NUS-ISS StackUp Talk: AI on the Edge - Deep Learning on Small Devices

Deep learning is everywhere these days, but most models run in the cloud because of their resource needs. There’s a growing need to run AI models on smaller devices, so that they can run locally and avoid transmitting privacy-sensitive information over the network.

Come to this talk to learn more about getting deep learning models to run on small devices, such as a mobile phone or a Raspberry Pi.

We will be covering devices from large to small:

  • Deep Learning models with iOS CoreML

  • Keras/Tensorflow models on a Raspberry Pi

  • Microsoft Research's Embedded Learning Library

  • Object Detection

  • Audio Keyword Detection

  • ...and more!

This session is not a workshop. It will be a talk with demos.

Admission is Free, on a first-come-first-served basis.

If you have been thinking about transitioning to a tech-related career, let us help you get started.
