Mr Scott Si

Scott Si is currently a Senior Lecturer and Consultant for the Digital Products and Platforms Practice at the Institute of Systems Science, National University of Singapore.

He has over ten years of experience spanning digital product management, strategy consulting, and startup development across the Asia-Pacific region. Most recently, he was the APAC lead for digital consumer platforms and propositions at Schroders, where he led initiatives around chatbots, robo-advisors, and digital distribution channels across nine key markets. Prior to that, he was a digital partnerships and product manager at HSBC China, co-creating several pioneering product offerings with technology partners in the healthcare, insurance, and investments space.

Previously, Scott was product marketing Lead at Coins, an e-wallet platform acquired by Gojek in 2019, as well as the head of product at educational robotics startup Plobot. He began his career as a strategy analyst at L'Atelier, providing advisory on digital transformation projects for clients like Michelin, L'Oreal, and the BNP Paribas group.

With a passion for building great product experiences, Scott is always on the lookout for the latest tech trends, and was previously a contributor to news website Tech in Asia. He is a certified Scaled Agile practitioner, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Management from the Ateneo de Manila University and a Certificate in Economics from Fudan University.

Amy Huang is the Chief of the Digital Products & Platforms Practice at the Institute of Systems Science, National University of Singapore. With over twenty years of experience across diverse industries in Asia and North America, Amy has dedicated her career to building technology platforms that bring positive change to people’s lives.

Amy came to Singapore in 2017 to join RedMart as Head of Design, where she oversaw the end-to-end grocery customer journey, as well as product design for the complex suite of technologies that seamlessly power supermarket operations. After RedMart integrated into the Alibaba family, she took the role of EVP of User Experience at Lazada, adding to her portfolio user research and product design teams driving user growth, loyalty, payment, and logistics for Lazada’s ecommerce ecosystem across six countries.

Previously from the Silicon Valley, Amy has worked in technology companies and product consultancies to build delightful and efficient experiences for varied industries, including higher education, publishing, photography, travel, entertainment, and enterprise tools. Since the early days of the dot-com boom, Amy’s experience and expertise have evolved alongside the online technologies and product development processes that we use every day. She has led teams and initiatives at Apollo Education Group, Blurb, Shutterfly, and the Walt Disney Company.

Amy studied Human-Computer Interaction at Stanford University, where she received a Bachelors degree in Symbolic Systems and a Masters degree in Communication: New Media Studies. She is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and fostering career communities so that we can collectively solve more meaningful problems.

Mr Dominic Chan

Director, National Digital Identity, Govtech

As a Director at the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech), and Dominic oversees the development and implementation of the NDI programmes such as Singpass, Myinfo and various identity and access management related products.  In his prior role in GovTech as Director Moments of Life, he was also responsible for products such as LifeSG, GoBusiness and Virtual intelligent Chat Assistant.  These are G2C and G2B services platforms.

Dominic and his team collaborate closely with government agencies, industry partners, and the international community to develop the necessary ecosystems that can enable online trust, transform user journeys and streamline operations. The work involves using technology to impact and inspire change for citizens, businesses and government agencies, making services simpler and lives better for Singaporeans and residents. 

Before joining GovTech, Dominic has spent 15 years in the electronics manufacturing service industry, running operations that deliver innovative high-tech products for international brands from the consumer, industrial, automotive and medical industries. He was involved in driving business and digital transformation through improving core business processes, reducing waste, and increasing reliability.

Ms Silvia Thom

Former Chief Technology Officer, Zalora Singapore
View Biography

Silvia Thom is one of the thought leaders and pioneers of building eCommerce products in South East Asia. She spent more than a decade in hyper growth companies innovating various digital experiences in the Direct-to-Consumer and B2B sector. From 2013 to 2021 she was leading the Product Management team at ZALORA as Director of Product, and in the later years as Chief Technology Officer overseeing all of Engineering at the ZALORA Group level.

Before working for ZALORA, Silvia headed the Product Team at Glossybox, a global beauty subscription service and was the Country Manager for Japan at Sellaband, a music crowdfunding platform. Silvia is a native German who loves to travel and experience different cultures. She was based in Berlin, London, Madrid and Tokyo before settling down in Singapore in 2013.

Mr Gaurav Tandon

Head of Consumer Product, Grab
View Biography

Gaurav is a product leader with 15+ years of experience and currently leads the consumer product teams at Grab. Prior to Grab, he has built and led product teams at growth stage startups and consumer tech companies such as Carousell, Lazada, Redmart and Zomato. He has worn the hat of a business and product head multiple times in order to launch new business verticals in these companies. He has also been a founder in his past life, building and (failing to) scale a C2C marketplace in India.

Having launched and scaled products in 20+ countries, he has deep experience in marketplaces, logistics, payments and subscriptions. He loves mentoring startups on lean product principles and iterating quickly to reach product-market fit.
