Profile

Dr. Matthew Chua is currently a lecturer and principal investigator at the NUS Institute of System Science where he specializes in Medical & Cybernetics Systems. He is overseeing the research programme in Smart Healthcare , Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Robotics. He has won prestigious research grants from National Medical Research Council (NMRC), SG Enable and internationally for his work in intelligent medical  devices and systems. His wide array of expertise makes him a highly sort after collaborator from various industries. He is also currently the Associate Editor for IEEE Access journals and the appointed Residential Fellow for Kent Ridge Hall, NUS.

On the side, Dr Chua is a professional opera singer, being sort after for many local events and celebrations, including The SG50 Concert at the Park Lee Kuan Yew Memorial Concert, TTSH Gala dinner and many others.
