Objectives
The Practice Module enables learners to integrate and apply learning from both modular courses to a realistic organisational challenge.
By the end of the module, learners should be able to:
- Frame and diagnose a complex organisational problem using relevant evidence, assumptions and trade-offs.
- Design team, talent and leadership responses that strengthen performance, trust, capability and resilience.
- Clarify decision authority and develop communication, influence and collaboration approaches for diverse stakeholders.
- Integrate recommendations into a feasible implementation plan with clear priorities, risks, measures and adaptation mechanisms.
- Reflect critically on individual leadership behaviours, contribution and learning transfer to workplace practice.
Intended Audience
The Practice Module is intended for learners completing the Graduate Certificate in Leadership, Talent Management, and Communication.
It is suitable for learners who wish to integrate and apply capabilities from both modular courses in addressing a complex organisational challenge involving:
- Team and talent management
- Decision-making and accountability
- Strategic communication and influence
- Stakeholder alignment and cross-boundary collaboration
- Organisational change in digital and AI-enabled environments
Prerequisites
Learners should be enrolled in or have completed the following modular courses:
- Building & Leading High-Performing Teams in Digital and AI-Enabled Environments
- Strategic Communication and Organisational Influence in Digital and AI-Enabled Environments
The Practice Module requires learners to apply concepts from both courses. Learners should therefore have sufficient familiarity with the learning outcomes and key frameworks covered in the two modular courses.
Components
The Practice Module integrates learning from both courses through two assessment components.
- Learners will work in groups to analyse a common organisational case and develop an integrated leadership response, demonstrating their ability to address team, talent, communication, influence and collaboration challenges.
- They will also undertake an individual workplace application project, applying relevant concepts to a real challenge within their own organisational context.
Both components require learners to demonstrate sound leadership judgement, evaluate trade-offs and propose practical, feasible actions.
