How data is shaping the future of care delivery

Ever wonder how data is transforming the way healthcare is being delivered?

Pre-COVID, there were a number of emerging trends in healthcare: (1) care decentralisation, (2) community integration/shared care, (3) value-driven care, (4) patient-centric care, and (5) data-driven care. Some of them, with or without COVID, would probably continue to advance. However, COVID has accelerated decentralised care and shared care to such an extent that previously unimaginable use cases are being trialled today. Advances in these areas are unlikely to be undone or slowed down but rather accelerated further in the near future, providing opportunities and building momentum for wider adoption of technology-enabled, data-driven care.

We have invited two distinguished speakers, at the forefront of healthcare transformation, to unpack some recent developments in data-enabled care strategies in the areas of hypertension, mental health, and virtual hospitalisation. We will also look toward the future and discuss what are the exciting opportunities on the horizon, enabled by emerging digital technologies.

Creighton Heaukulani, Senior Assistant Director/ Senior Data Scientist, MOH Office for Healthcare Transformation
Lai Yi Feng, Senior Manager, Ministry of Health Office for Healthcare Transformation
