Chuk is with the Software Systems Practice for NUS-ISS. His current responsibilities include developing courseware and teaching graduate and public courses in cloud-native technologies, full stack development, enterprise software engineering, and modern application delivery.
Prior to joining NUS-ISS, Chuk held engineering and consultancy roles at Oracle and Sun Microsystems, where he specialized in helping customers across the APAC region develop, size, and tune complex Java applications.
With a career spanning over 40 years of software development (beginning in 1983) and 20+ years of professional industry experience, Chuk brings a rare depth of perspective to the classroom.
His research and technical interests include containers, distributed systems, software development, and practices. In his spare time, he experiments with game frameworks like Godot and writes technical articles on his
