Chris CHAN


Chris Chan has an extensive IT experience in the Republic of Singapore Air Force. His successes include leading the process re-engineering effort that enabled his squadron to win its first Best Unit Award (2000) in 18 years, the operationalisation of the intelligence system for the 2nd Gen RSAF (2002) and pioneering the implementation of Enterprise Architecture in the RSAF as part of its transformation effort. He is a two-time recipient of the national level Defence Technology Prize (2005, 2008) in recognition of his leadership in the conceptualisation and implementation of cutting edge Integrated Knowledge-enabled Command and Control (IKC2) concepts to warfighting systems for the 3rd Gen RSAF. In his current position, Chris is developing the use of EA to map the new media environment for strategic communications.

Chris holds an MBA from the Imperial College (1999), a MDS from the National University of Bangladesh (2001), a MSc in Strategic Studies from the Nanyang Technological University (2004) and a BA (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (1993). He was a Fellow of the Asia Pacific Centre for Security Studies (2009). He also received the Commendation Medal (Military) in the National Day Honours List (2007).
