Building Autonomous AI Agents

This three-day hands-on course equips participants with the practical skills to build, evaluate, and deploy autonomous AI agents capable of performing complex, multi-step tasks beyond traditional AI chatbots. Through guided hands-on labs, participants will develop AI agents with capabilities such as reasoning, planning, tool use, memory, and goal-directed decision-making.

Participants will first build AI agents from the ground up to understand the core building blocks of agentic AI, before using modern agent development frameworks such as LangGraph to accelerate development. The course also introduces emerging agent frameworks such as NanoClaw, enabling participants to compare different approaches to building AI agents. Along the way, they will learn practical techniques for context engineering and loop engineering to improve agent reliability, task completion, and long-running workflows.

The course also covers multi-agent collaboration using the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol, responsible autonomy practices such as guardrails, reliability, and cost optimisation, and practical techniques for evaluating and deploying AI agents. By the end of the course, participants will be able to build, test, and deploy autonomous AI agents for real-world applications.
